Our instructors want to help each student find and develop their passions. It takes 20,000 hours to become an expert at something. We offer and facilitate a wide range of classes to support one’s desire to fine-tune skills within their desired area(s) of the arts. We have group and/or private lessons available in Acting, Dancing, Music, Voice, Piano, Musical Theatre.
Our goals are to educate our community in performing arts skills and the importance of art in the lives of our citizens via classes and an online presence. We provide quality entertainment and arts experiences for youth and adults in Acadiana whether it be live and/or streamed performances. We continue to successfully pivot, evolve, and adapt during the years of the pandemic by incorporating visual art, film, multimedia, streaming, hybrid classrooms, etc. into our performing arts production & education practices. We also collaborate with other community organizations in an effort for the arts we produce to have the greatest impact possible. In the past we have worked with Zoosiana, The Children’s Museum, Acadian Village, Christmas at the South College Center, Women’s & Children’s Hospital, JW James, Bark in the Park, Maddie’s Footprints, Chinese Immersion at Middlebrook Elementary, Cite des Arts, The Crowley Opera House, The Acadiana Center for the Arts, and more! We look forward to cultivating and maintaining many more relationships within the Acadiana Community.
In addition we offer two production companies for children to join and use to gain performance experience: KIDS Co. (Grades 2-5) & JR Co. (Grades 6-12). In a typical year, we produce 7 live stage productions. Shows we’ve produced in the past are: Charlotte’s Web, Aladdin Kids, Swamp Monster (Original Work by Students), Frozen Jr., Jungle Book Kids, The Little Mermaid Jr., Madagascar Jr., The Lion King Jr., Zombie Prom Atomic Edition, Spamalot Young@Part, Aristocats Kids, 101 Dalmations Kids, Snowflake’s Christmas Adventure, and more!
