Blaine Alden Krauss

Blaine Alden Krauss is a native of St. Petersburg, Florida. He holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) at the University of Cincinnati. After making his broadway debut in the critically acclaimed "Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812" he strutted across Al Hershfield in the Tony Award Winning "Kinky Boots" and was most currently featured in the "The Cher Show". He was also seen in the Radio City New York Spectacular under the direction of Mia Michaels and on tour of Disneys "The Lion King". He most recently joined the national tour of "Hamilton" as the standby for Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr. In 2011 Krauss was commissioned to be a feature vocalist of the largest celebration of the 9/11 anniversary outside the United Stated in Paris, France. In 2010 he was selected to be 1 of 20 Presidential Scholars in the Arts by the White House and Presidential Scholar Commission, and can be currently seen on season 2 of POSE on FX. Blaine is a a frequent performer of "Feinstein's 54 Below in NYC, as well as with symphonies across the country with Spot-On Entertainment. Instagram: @blainekr

In this Acting through Song masterclass we are going to focus on 3 tools to bring out the best and most authentic performances: 1. Text and Music Analysis. 2. Identifying what makes us, the actor, unique. 3. Merging of the two to create an honest, spontaneous, and impulsive performance.
